The surviving 1880s annex of the original Sunset Hill grand hotel on Sugar Hill, which held 350 guests before it closed in 1973 and was torn down. The annex was restored and reopened in 2015, and reopened again in 2026 under Hideaway Inns as Hideaway Inn Franconia Notch, with 32 redesigned rooms. From the ridge, the White Mountains are visible to the east and Vermont's Green Mountains to the west. There is a golf course and dining on the grounds.
