Vermont Green Mountains Lodges & Inns
Vermont's Green Mountains run the length of the state like a spine, and the towns on either side have built a lodging tradition around the seasons they're famous for — ski lodges near Stowe and Sugarbush that stay full from December through March, village inns in Woodstock and Middlebury that hit their stride during foliage, and farm stays around Brattleboro that work in any season. The covered bridges, dairy farms, and village commons are not manufactured atmosphere; they are how Vermont actually looks. The scale is human and the pace is deliberate, which is most of the point.
