White Mountains Lodges & Inns

The White Mountains are serious mountain terrain — the Presidential Range includes six peaks above 5,000 feet and Mount Washington holds the record for the highest wind speed ever recorded on the earth's surface. The lodging around North Conway, Jackson, and Franconia ranges from classic New England inns to ski-adjacent lodges to the grand Mount Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods, which has been accepting guests since 1902. Fall foliage in Franconia Notch is among the most dramatic in the Northeast, and the hiking trailheads are among the most accessible of any high-elevation wilderness in New England.
