    Where to Stay in Sheffield

Sheffield is the southernmost town in Berkshire County and the southern end of the Route 7 antique corridor, a stretch of about 15 miles north through Great Barrington with dozens of dealers, many in old farmhouses and barns. Bartholomew's Cobble, a Trustees reservation on a rocky bend of the Housatonic River, has easy trails and about 800 plant species, and the nearby Colonel John Ashley House dates to 1735. Wilder House, a 5-room B&B in an 1802 house on Main Street, makes breakfast to order. Great Barrington is about 10 minutes north for restaurants and the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, and Bash Bish Falls is about 25 minutes west.
