An Appalachian Mountain Club hut at 3,288 feet in Carter Notch, between Carter Dome and Wildcat Mountain, reached by a 3.8-mile hike on the Nineteen-Mile Brook Trail. Two bunkhouses sleep up to 40 in rooms for 4 to 6. In summer, dinner and breakfast are served family-style; the rest of the year it runs as a self-service hut. The glacial Carter Ponds are beside the hut.
