The highest of the Appalachian Mountain Club's huts, at 5,012 feet just below Mount Monroe and about 1.5 miles from the summit of Mount Washington, beside the two alpine Lakes of the Clouds. It sleeps 90 in bunk rooms for 6 to 15 people, and dinner and breakfast are included. The hut is open from early June to mid-September and is reached by a 3-mile climb on the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail.
